About
My research examines how digital platforms and AI-mediated environments shape whose voices become visible, what claims become credible, and how political action unfolds — with particular attention to communities that are structurally marginalized in public discourse. I combine computational methods (NLP, network analysis, computer vision) with surveys and experiments to study how visibility is produced, contested, and made consequential across platforms.
Biography
I am an Assistant Professor of Communication at the University of Connecticut, jointly appointed with the Program of Women’s, Gender, and Sexuality Studies. I received my Ph.D. in Mass Communication from the University of Wisconsin–Madison in 2021.
My work sits at the intersection of computational social science and political communication, investigating how digital architectures influence social change.
